We have already presented some great healthy restaurants in the city. Here are more!
Le Vélo Sentimental
The restaurant is inside the “Maison du vélo”, located across from the train station (gare Matabiau). The interior is a mix of furnitures and not fancy at all, but very pleasant and cosy. They serve fresh, home-made food. The restaurant accepts the “Sol Violette”, which is a “monnaie éthique” (click here for more information).
Monday and Tuesday: 09h00 – 17h30 // Wednesday to Friday: 09h00 – 22h00 and Saturday: 09h00 – 16h00
L’ Embargo
Homemade, bio, local and vegan – this is the l’Embargo! For lunch they offer street food, like burgers, kebab, burritos, hot dogs etc. and in the evening tapas.
Tuesday & Saturday: 20h00-23h00 // Wednesday – Friday: 12h00-14h30 and 20h00-23h00
Silex & Fourchette
Silex & Fourchette is a paleo restaurant – which means that they use only fresh, whole and unprocessed products, which are gluten- and lactose-free. From Monday to Friday they have a lunch menu. You have the choice between meat or the vegan alternative.
In addition to their daily lunch, they organize a monthly brunch and a dinner night. In order to get an idea of what they serve, check out their Facebook page.
Ravigote
A super cute restaurant located in Saint Agne. You feel like you are invited at a friend’s house – the starters are on the table in different bowls and you just serve yourself. Afterwards you can go and grab the main dish and to end the meal you can serve yourself at the dessert table. The atmosphere is really relaxed. The food is fresh and super delicious.
Monday to Friday: 12h00 – 14h30
Le Petit Ogre
This restaurant focuses on natural, local and seasonal ingredients and works together with small producers from the area. There is no menu, they offer one single dish (as well as one starter and different desserts). However, you can decide whether you want meat, the vegetarian or the vegan option. I think it is a really great concept. Another plus: they are open every day and you can eat whenever you want, which is rare in Toulouse.
Monday to Sunday: 12h00 – 23h00
Native Canteen
Native Canteen just opened recently and is located in Compans Caffarelli. As the name already indicates, the restaurant is like a canteen, meaning that there is no table service. You order your food at the counter and look for a seat afterwards. On the menu: fresh salads, “tartes”, wraps, sandwiches and a daily changing “plat du jour”. If you are in a hurry, you can pre-order your food online and pick it up directly at the counter.
Monday to Friday: 11h30 – 14h30
Lucas et Marie Sans Gênes
Another new pastry shop located in Carmes. Marie is the owner of the shop and her son Lucas is an autist and the reason for her to open this little shop. Lucas dream is to become a baker. I think this is just great! And a good reason to go there and support them. They offer sandwiches, salads, pastry et cetera and everything is 100% organic, vegan and without the 14 major allergens.
Tuesday to Friday: 12h00 – 17h30 and Saturday: 12h00 – 19h30 (note: opening hours are temporary and might change in the future, check on their page to be sure)
Bon appétit,
