Time to relax in Toulouse & the Pyrenees

Relax in Toulouse wunderbar.png

We all need a break from time to time. Especially in this rainy winter weather, what better than to relax and take time for yourself. If you would like to relax in or not far from Toulouse or even after a day of skiing in the Pyrenees, here are some of our favorite beauty and wellness spots. Spa Toulouse-3.png

Mademoiselle Relax

Mademoiselle Relax has three locations in Toulouse (Carmes, Jeanne d’Arc and Jean Rieux) and offers a wide range of services: massages, mani- and pedicures, epilation, skin care and many more. They are very professional and always on time. It is perfect for a little break. The massages of 1h only cost €39 (they regularly have offers on Groupon as well for €29/hour). The Jeanne d’Arc spa is the biggest and you can even book a massage with two other friends at the same time.

Jeanne d’Arc: 5 Rue Matabiau, Toulouse
Carmes: 23 Rue des Polinaires, Toulouse
Jean Rieux: 24 avenue Jean Rieux, Toulouse

Terre de Jade

This spa is in the basement of the Grand Hotel, so already the way to the spa is quite nice. The space is quite cute in the basement with nice Toulousain bricks. You feel like entering an entire new universe and you can easily relax straight away. Before the massage they offer you slippers and a bathrobe and afterwards they serve a nice oriental tea.

Grand Hotel de l’Opéra, 1 Place du Capitole, Toulouse

Sawatdi Thai Massage

Nataya and her team offer very good Thai massages in Blagnac. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the massages are tailored to your needs. They also offer pre- and post-natal massages.

Les Sources d’Orient (centre)

One of our favourite hammam in Toulouse centre. We discovered it recently for a birthday treat and we have to say that it’s really cosy and the girls there are really nice. We had the hammam for us alone on a Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed our time there. Hammam and gommage followed by delicious tea.

6 bis rue Mirepoix, Toulouse

Les Vapeurs d’Orient (Aucamville)

This Hammam is in Aucamville, so a bit outside of town, but also really nice. You enter and feel straight like in a different world. We came with a group of 10 girls during a Hen Do and had the whole Hammam to ourselves. You can also book a massage after if you like.

Medina Spa (centre)

Some might still know the old Medina Spa, not far from Place de la Bourse. Medina Spa reopened some time ago and now has a bigger spa with a great hammam and massages.

47 Rue des Paradoux, 31000 Toulouse

Calicéo (Union)

Caliceo is the most basic spa in Toulouse, but it’s still nice to relax. They offer an indoor and two outdoor pools, hammam and sauna. Don’t expect a real German style sauna with a lot of quiet zones to read a book or snooze. It’s more basic than that, but to go for one round after having enjoyed the pools is quite nice. It’s only 15min from Toulouse, so quick to go.

1 rue de Cabanis, L’Union

Balnéa in Peyragudes

A well deserved spa after a day of skiing in Peyragudes, is a great way to relax. This Balnéa centre offers different themes, from Japanese to Roman to Incas. They have indoor and outdoor pools, the indoor pool plays relaxing music to really chill after a day of sports. This spa offers a zone with and without children. So if you want to go and relax without kids screaming, that is the place for you.

We love this spa for it’s amazing mountain view. What else do you need than chill in warm thermal water with a view on snowy mountains?

Grand Tourmalet – La Mongie – Barèges

The ski resort of La Mongie offers a great “forfait” that includes a day of skiing and spa. For only a few euros more, you can enjoy two different spas after a day of skiing or snowboarding.

  • AQUASKI – one day ski pass + 2 hours pass to Aquensis à Bagnères de Bigorre (€47)
  • SKI + THERMES – one day ski pass + 1 hour at CIELEO in Barèges (€48)

Spa Toulouse-6.pngAfter a massage or a spa, you probably need some healthy and nice food. Find here all our tips: Healthy Restaurants 1 and Healthy Restaurants 2.

Have a good time,
