Summer is finally here! After a rainy spring, we finally have temperatures to enjoy the warm summer evenings in one of the many open-air bars – and there are many new ones this year. Enjoy your summer with your friends in Toulouse!
Ecluse – Ile du Ramier
Open for the second year, this open-air bar on the Ile du Ramier next to the restored lock is a great place to enjoy a warm summer night. This year the theme is seafood and fish, however they also offer different tapas.
L’Écluse Saint-Michel, 2 Impasse du Pont Saint-Michel, Toulouse
La Centrale – Ile du Ramier
La Centrale is now already well known in Toulouse and offers a great summer and beach feeling, with your feet in the sand. If you want to know what this open-air bar looks like, check out their website, as they have a 360° camera to look around. If you look for a place to watch sport events, then this is also a place to come to.
Allée Fernand Jourdant, Toulouse
Halles de la Cité – Espace Croix Baragnon
Some of you might know this location from the MAP festival that took place in May at Espace Croix Baragnon. Now, for the summer, they opened an open-air bar in the courtyard of this amazing location.
Espace Croix Baragnon, 24, rue Croix Baragnon, Toulouse
Ma biche sur le toit – Galleries Lafayette
With a great view over the city, Ma biche sur le toit, is the place to hang out if you want to be part of the “Toulousain” high society, or at least that is what they think they are. They offer great drinks and you can enjoy a great sunset overlooking the city.
Rooftop of Mama Shelter – Jean Jaures
A m’en donné – Jardin Raymond VI
This little bar at the top of the Park overlooks the waterfall of the Garonne and gives you a nice view onto the city centre. In summer they often have a DJ on Sundays at that bar or even breakdance battles.
Park Raymond VI, Toulouse
Les Terrasses de l’Atelier – Empalot
Les Terrasses de l’Atelier is a new bar a bit outside of Toulouse (however they offer a shuttle service from Toulouse city centre). The concept is really nice, as they have several food trucks with different type of food where everyone finds something. Note: you can only book over Facebook Messenger, no phone.
Pêcheurs de sable – Daurade
Located at the Daurade, this bar is located at one of the most popular places in the city. If you want to get a decent drink and not sit on the stairs as most people, then have a drink at this bar. They often have live music as well.
Quai de la Daurade, Toulouse
La Guinguette – Centre/Garonne
This Guinguette is one of our favourite one’s. With its floating restaurant, you can nicely enjoy the view over the Garonne and the Pont Neuf, while sitting in the shade. Try the newest drink Lillet Rosé/Tonic, delicious!
Le Biergarten – Saint-Michel
Le Biergarten is a great place to enjoy a cold beer or drink on their summer terrasse. Open for the second year, it is really one of the nicest terrasses to enjoy a cold drink in summer. The German food they offer is not as good as we hoped, so don’t expect the perfect Currywurst.
60, Grande Rue Saint-Michel, Toulouse
Canaille Club – Espace Cobalt
Unfortunately, Canaille Club had to move location this year and is not any more in Saint-Michel. However, they will reopen on 25th June in an even bigger location, l’Espace Cobalt and will stay open until mid-September.
At Espace Cobalt, 55 Avenue Louis Breguet, Toulouse
Sporting Plage – North of Toulouse
At Sporting Plage, you can play beach volley, pétanque or just enjoy in the pool. Sporting Plage opens until mid-September and is a great way to enjoy an afternoon at the pool while having some lovely drinks. They also offer different theme nights, like salsa night or brunch on Sunday. See the full programme here.
Bikini – Ramonville
You all know the bikini for its great concerts and parties. However, they also have a pool open in summer where you can enjoy a swim before having some great food and drinks. This was one of our favourite places last year and we will definitly go back this summer.
Rue Théodore Monod, Ramonville-Saint-Agne
Flon-Flon – Balma
This open-air restaurant opened beginning of June and is located in the park of the Chéteau de Thégra with a great view on Toulouse. They offer tapas during the week and buffet brunch on Sundays. They are open until 16th September.
Château de Thégra, 62 route de Gauré, Balma
Bleu bleu – Garonne/Blagnac
This is still one of the most original bars around Toulouse. Bleu Bleu is a small bar accessible from the Pont de Blagnac, walking or cycling along the Garonne up North. You can drink a glass of wine or beer here, but don’t expect too much luxury.
51 chemin de Ginestou, Toulouse
Les Robins des bois – Parc de Sesquières
Opening on 7th July, Les Robins des bois is back! Open every Sunday during summer at a new location: La Terraza, Parc de Sesquières. They have great beats to enjoy a nice drink on a Sunday afternoon. This year the stay open until 4h in the morning – the Monday after will be tough.
La Guinguette d’Odyssud – Blagnac
La Guingette in the Odyssud parc is a great location for afterworks if you work in and around Blagnac. You sit on top of the park with a view on the lake. Often there is a DJ or even live bands playing.
Envol côté plage – Balma
L’Envol is one of the big beach bars outside of town, where you can enjoy drinks and food. They have regularly DJs that turn the bar into an open air summer club and where you can danse the whole night.
32 avenue Jean René Lagasse, Balma
La voile blanche- Sesquières
La voile blanche is similar to l’Envol. They have a restaurant, bar and club with pool to enjoy the long summer nights and have a real feeling to be on the beach. Food and drink are not cheap, so expect to pay a bit more for your drink.
Parc de Sesquières – Complexe la Voile Blanche, 26 allée des Foulques, Toulouse
Le Canard sur le toit – Colomiers
This hotel in Colomiers opens it swimming pool to the public during sommer. They offer several theme parties, like Soirée Aloha, Mexico or Duck Killer. It’s a real nice environment in the nature and offers a great atmosphere.
58 Chemin de la Salvetat, Colomiers
Have a great summer 2019 in Toulouse and enjoy your time off with families and friends,
